Too Pooped To Scoop

I have hired Too Pooped to Scoop for spring cleanups a few times then I finally decided to hire for a weekly clean up because of what a great job they do! The gentleman comes every week and thoroughly cleans up after my dog. I can't thank them enough for their business, friendliness and genuine care about my dog and having us as a customer. My dog went through a major surgery and was at the vet not using our yard, John was flexible and understanding and didn't charge me for a service I didn't need. Even offered advice and kind words! Id recommend them over and over again! What amazing people and an exceptional business!

A catch twenty poo. The grass is too high for them to find the piles, there are too many piles for the yard to be mowed. I'm temporarily unable to comfortably do yard work and hired them so that I could get someone out to mow, but too much was left behind. They did come when they said they would and emails were responded to within a reasonable time frame The picture includes the bags of waste I picked up in the small section shown after they came. To be fair, this is where the grass is shortest.

John and his team are amazing to work with and thorough in their cleaning process. We have used them for a few years now. Highly recommend!

It was good while it lasted, I guess. We initially hired "too poop" to do spring cleanup two years ago (2022) and were pleased with the service. We signed on for recurring pickup 1x every week for a very reasonable price.(3 dogs. medium fenced in yard) Prepayment at beginning of month via Venmo. No problems for 18 months. Cleanup was satisfactory. Reasonably reliable service.. was a challenge in winter due to snow...but understandable and satisfied. Happy customer. Then this Spring(2024) the wheels started coming off,....missed poo (skimpy cleanup), scooper showed up on one day late or didn't show at all. First few times I texted John (the boss) and he fixed the issue--usually by sending the "scooper" back out to do the job. Increasingly I felt like I had to check up to make sure the job got done.. a hassle I shouldn't have to do if I'm paying a service. (Very different than the first 18 months). Then about 2-3 months ago the service just stopped cold. Hard to tell exactly when. I was out of the country for 2 weeks on business and then our family went on vacation for 10 days out of state. When I checked it upon return from vacation. It was very obvious the poo had not been picked up in SEVERAL weeks. (There was very old poo in the back corner and under bushes). I contacted John who at first balked at my request the scooper come out to remedy the situation stating that "dogs poop a lot" so it must be new poop. I reminded him that I had been a customer for two years and owned multiple dogs for decades now-, I know what fresh poop looks like and I know what old poop looks like) I was still willing to work with the company at this point and simply wanted to get back on track. John assured me the scooper would come out and clean up all the old poop. Didn't happen. I called again and John said he checked with the scooper who assured him (the boss) that he did clean up. I explained that we have security cameras...which I reviewed and the guy never showed. After discussion again..which I offered to show john pictures of my yard and/or do a video chat where he could see the evidence... the scooper was supposed to come on Friday and contact me via text when he showed up. No show, no text. When I finally got a hold of John on the weekend he said he didn't know why the scooper keeps lying to him and suggested we simply terminate service because he can't find good help. So I was stuck for a few hours cleaning up a several weeks(going on 2-3 months) of poo that should have been taken care of. I did withhold last months payment...but I have no way of knowing at this point when the last time the yard was cleaned completely and correctly. I think I'm out at least one month (maybe two) for services not completed. At this point I just want to be done with the company. It became a huge headache and pain for me. I shouldn't have to "check up" on employees to make sure they do their job. John is a nice guy and has some personal issues going on....with the overall labor issues I feel for him...but as a consumer there is no way I could recommend this business at current time. Most of the reviews on here are positive but two years old. As I mentioned at first the service was great and two years ago I would have recommended, but it went downhill quick as of spring 2024.

Very professional company. John and Ryan are very friendly. I've been using Too Pooped To Scoop since 2020. Very reliable team. I haven't had any issues. Very fair prices for multiple dogs. Different payment options. I wouldn't trade this company for nothing in the world. Awesome people. I really appreciate the services they offer.
