What an amazing walk! On windy days, dress very warm and plan on potentially protecting yourself and your camera from huge splashes of water! The waves come crashing over the walls during several parts of this walk! The views are stunning and you are facing the ocean the entire time! Waterproof footwear will have your feet thanking you!

I went down Deer Island about 5:30 am Sunday to beat the rush . The temp was about 76° with very little wind and very few people. It was a very enjoyable walk. It is now 2:27 close to 100° and couldn't and probably wouldn't want to get close to that place.

it's always 98.6 degrees for some reason down here. they have the best lemonade and chocolate bars. these people are professionals who never let a floater get away from them.

Love refilling my bottled spring water there. Cheapest in town at 18 cents a gallon. Most places charge 75 cents or more, and tastes better than store bought. Feels good to support local business too.

I tell ya, You haven't been treated like wastewater until you've been to deer. I mean that in all the best ways. You go in feeling like gray water, and, then leave feeling fresh as a daisy. I only trust them with my waste water. I don't even know why someone would want to or even consider going anywhere else.
